robot design
drivetrain - west coast style drivetrain using VersChassis parts - 4 x 6" omni wheels - 1 CIM + 1 Mini CIM per side at ~11 ft/s - 1x1x0.0625 rails to act as bumper mounts and handles to lift the robot lift - 3 stage cascading - 2x1x0.0625 box tubing - inner and outer walls supported by 0.5" ball bearings - constant force springs to ease the load - powered by single BAG motor dual intake/wrist - arm rotates 90 degrees to pick up hatch with integrated hook - pick up cargo from floor using 4" compliant wheels - articulating wrist to place hatch and aim cargo climb - arm has enough force to prop the front of the robot off of the ground and potentially lift onto HAB level 2 (never worked) bumpers - colored tape added for fun times |
